Already on the way in, the with different colours illuminated, historical houses lure you into the "underworld". In spacious, former wine cellars linked with tunnels you can stroll, in every type of weather, with dry feet over the Christmas fair. The market is open from the beginning of the Advent time till the first week of January.
In the old railway station an ice skate ring is available and the during the Christmas time illuminated alleys finish the romantic impression. On the Christmas Days one can hear the horn-blowers from within the cottage.

Thermal bath and wellness in Traben-Trarbach

The part of town called "Bad Wildstein" with its thermal medicinal spring is a hot tip among experts and is the only medicinal bath in the Mosel valley. Additional there is a big sauna scenery, a therapy department and a wellness area. Friends of the Ayurveda treatments will find their treat in Bad Wildstein.

Winter sports possibilities in the surroundings

For amateurs of winter sports there is the winter sports resort at the "Erbeskopf" in Hunsruck, the highest mountain in Rheinland-Pfalz and only 33 kms away.
